Happy Birthday Sis's!!!

My sisters turned 23 in November! They decided on a "Phineas and Ferb" themed birthday party. For those of you who don't know what that is, tune into the Disney Channel :)
I made them each a cake. One Phineas and one Ferb!

They had a fantastic birthday and had a blast hanging out with all of their buddies.

We love you guys more than anything in the world! Happy birthday to the coolest sisters anyone could ask for!

Beautiful Backyard Reception

Kara chose a four tier, square, fondant cake. It looked awesome in their fun yard! Her colors were absolutely gorgeous. Turquoise, brown, and orange.

She decided she wanted a few cupcakes so we made these cute little guys!

A sugar paste flower made in each of her colors topped off the cupcakes.

Aren't they cute?! Love 'em.

Kara was wonderful to work with! And a beautiful bride :)

My Friend From Next Door

Growing up, I had the best neighbors. One of them was my pal, Jen. Our claim to fame is that we played barbies for 7 hours straight. That's right. 7 hours. Any who, she got married!

When she came over for her consultation, we realized that her colors were almost exactly the colors I chose for my wedding! We browsed my wedding photos and she really liked our wedding cake that I made

So we styled her wedding cake similar to what we had, but made it her very own.

She chose
Vanilla Almond Poppyseed Cake with Cream Cheese Filling
Triple Chocolate Cake with Rich Chocolate Cream Cheese Filling
and
Vanilla Chocolate Marble Cake with Chocolate Filling

Her cake was done in fondant with buttercream detailing.

Aren't they a BEAUTIFUL couple?! So happy for them!

Pretty Cake and Car Issues

Kilee and Neil chose beautiful colors and a beautiful cake for their reception! This couple was so fun to work with.

Black lace over ivory fondant, topped with an antique pink colored ribbon.

The delivery didn't go quite as planned.... We ran out of gas 3 miles from the reception! I couldn't believe it! We've NEVER run out of gas before. It must have been a combination of the freeway and having our AC turned up high to keep the cake cool. *sigh* THANK HEAVENS for their sweet maid of honor who picked us up!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Loveridge!

John and Angelica

Angelica and her fiance, (now husband) John, chose a peacock themed wedding. They wanted their cake to express their fun personalities and also show their theme in the colors of the cake.
They chose a unique hexagon shaped cake covered in fondant.

They also wanted a "henna" designed cake, so we took some elegant and funky henna designs and made it their own!
I loved how they chose to incorporate their peacock colors with their buttercream and fondant.
Congratulations you two!

LITTLE but CLASSY

A fun 10" buttercream cake with fresh raspberries on top. The bride chose a simple yet elegant 3 dot design and had a gorgeous antique cake stand. This is a great idea if you're keeping your event small. You won't be eating extra cake two weeks after your event!
